Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has worked as a chef, TV host in America and a teacher at Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at the Food Network. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares simple and easy to master methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in the best New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and food at an early age. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went to earn an English degree and a Communications certificate in Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent the most enjoyable time of my life. It was difficult to master how to do, or even work hard enough. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) during her time at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She gained a deeper appreciation of Italian culture and cuisine throughout her time in Italy and this has affected her cooking style. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten the lives of children facing difficulties. She also serves as a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she advocates for children with diabetes and awareness. Burrell travels extensively across the nation in her capacity as both a mentor and guest speaker where she discusses her career and love of cooking. Anne in all her culinary journey has stated that it's an honor to be in a position to be able to share this love of food with other people.
